This grouping of material includes one of Strachan's major publications in the field of poetry - Apollinaire to Aragon, his anthology of work by thirty modern French poets in translation, which was published in 1948. Also included here are other anthologies in which his translations of French poetry appeared - notably A mirror for French poetry 1840-1940, which was compiled by Strachan's friend Cecily Mackworth.
