This section includes articles on modern sculpture which Strachan contributed to various art and other journals, notably The Connoisseur. The latter published a series of his articles on sculptors' drawings (all included here), reflecting the research he was undertaking in the 1970s for his book, Towards sculpture. His interest in Henry Moore is also well represented here, in the form of five separate articles on the sculptor's work. There is also a piece on Maillol's sculpture 'The Three Nymphs', given by the National Art Collections Fund to the Tate Gallery in 1939, and for the central figure of which the sculptor Lucile Passavant was model. Included here are entire magazines, offprints, photocopied articles, and one unpublished typescript article.
