The Llandudno Pier, probably during the 1870s. The original Pier was built in 1858 but it was [said to be] demolished by a storm in 1859. In 1875 the new Llandudno Pier Company obtained an Act to enable them to build the present Pier. Work started in 1876 and a straight section of the Pier from the gate near the Happy Valley was opened to the public on the 1 August 1877. The main Pier Entrance was opened in 1884 and the new Landing Stage was built in 1891. It was reinforced in 1904 and later replaced by the present steel and concrete Pier Head in 1969.
