Launching of a Lifeboat

Scope and Content

The Lifeboat House is some 700 yards away from the Slipway on the Northern Promenade. The first Lifeboat to be named after its donors was the 'Sister's Memorial' which was launched at Llandudno in 1861. Every summer the 'Lilly Wainwright' was taken to the beach on a Thursday where she was on display to the public and each year hundreds of pounds were collected for the R.N.L.I.
