From Bernard Palmer of the Church Times. In /1 he refers to Nicholson's review of Fidelities [by Vernon Watkins, in the edition of 7 February 1969], and compliments the quality of Nicholson's reviews generally. In /2 he thanks Nicholson for his review of George Borrow ['Fact and Fiction', a review of George Borrow, Eccentric by Michael Collie, published on 25 February 1983]. He is sorry the book was not as good as it might have been, and along with Nicholson he cannot imagine how Collie can put Borrow on such a high literary pedestal. In /3 he informs Nicholson that he is increasing reviewers' fees.
