Autograph letter to Hugo stating that his children and grand-children had left Jersey with Duverdier after their short stay and informing him that the writer is coming to Guernsey the following week to finish the views of Hauteville House for the Album Prime du Rappel which it is hoped will add to public knowledge of places associated with Hugo.

Pégot-Ogier was a French historian and Republican, a friend of Victor Hugo during the exile. He wrote unpublished Memoirs on Victor Hugo's exile. His father Jean-Baptiste was a Republican deputy during the Second Republic.
