Scope and Content

Copy letter from Norwich, Norfolk, to the Missionary Committee of Finance and Advice recommending the appointment of Mr Toase for work among French prisoners of war, assisted by a French-speaking Channel Islander. The work will be financed separately from the rest of the missions.

Coke is certain that William Wilberforce is supporting Lord Sidmouth in the matter of the Toleration Act, and he therefore wants the Committee's opinion on whether or not to trust him with regard to the West Indies.
