Scope and Content

Copy letter from London to Thomas Hanby, apologizing for not replying sooner, and giving his reasons for not doing so, as follows: Coke's poor health; his fund-raising among the Methodists and the Calvinists for the West Indian Mission; and his unsuccessful attempt to change John Wesley's mind about an unspecified matter.

Coke hopes to see Hanby in Sheffield, Yorkshire, in February [1788].
