Scope and Content

From Sarah Crosby in Leeds, Yorkshire, to [Frances] Pawson in St John's Street, Spitalfields, London. Reference is made to Mrs Keysall's serious illness [?].

They are having 'a quickening time here; & in most parts of this circuit I hear. Our congregations are very large &very lively'.

Spiritual matters are discussed.

She was thankful to hear that Pawson's class has increased so much, and that Mrs Mather 'meets a class too; wch I hear has increased to 96 members.'

It is pleasing that [Alexander] Mather's ministry is proving a blessing, just as it did in York.

Is Betty Swain married?

Crosby finds writing very painful.
