Scope and Content

Photocopy of letter.

About the distribution of her personal possessions (furniture and other items) at her death. Of the plate she gave some to him and what was left she gave to Charles and Maggie when they married. She will never be in Ewart House again so she cannot go through that large house to pick out what was hers from the St Paul things [her son George married Mia St Paul, an heiress, she died in 1901]. But if Stanley can remember anything of hers he would like to have after her death she would note it down in 'Directions supplementary to my Will'. She mentions specially a wall mirror left her by Aunt Fanny and a 'pretty old fashioned drawing room leaf table'. Her dearly beloved grand piano given to her by old Uncle Hardy 'before I was married'...its price then was 200 guineas, will have to be left at Ewart as it is too large for anybody else's room.
