Scope and Content

Written from [Wooler, Northumberland]

She is beginning to get pressed with the approach of Christmas, so many letters to answer, she has to write all day. With regard to Mr Stuart she is grieved to see him 'so mixed up with party politics' [he was nursing the constituency of Sunderland and was successful at the election, end of 1905]. The devil is trying to spoil the Welsh Revival, but is not succeeding. Grieved to see General Booth 'blowing his trumpet there'. But 'Evan Roberts ran away from a certain town because 'people were coming to see him and not to meet God'. FB Myer has written well about the movement.
