Administrative / Biographical History

[? Oct 1904]

In this fragment of a letter JB says that she 'wants a good many things for warmth as this house tho' nice and refined, wants a few things' This lack of creature comforts was evidently passed onto the right quarter by Miss Forsaith, as 'in her letter' of 10 Nov addressed to Miss Forsaith and friend JB asks her to forward the enclosed to Mr Cooke who had evidently sent her a generous cheque to help in keeping the cold at bay. Date of this letter therefore would probably be Sep or Oct 1904
