Scope and Content

From Kezia Wesley to Charles Wesley. She is very ill with stomach pain and a very bad cold, but this will not prevent her from answering her brother's last. She admits that her fragile health means that she is unable to 'bear any roughness without either being angry or quite dejected'.

She has not heard from their mother Susanna for two months, and is unable to write herself as she does not know the address.

Kezia feels that she is a 'weak, entangled, wretched thing'.
