Scope and Content

From Charles Wesley junior in Edgeware Road, London, to Miss Tooth in Hoxton Square. He has been very anxious for [Mrs Tooth's] recovery.

He has had no more annoyance from his brother Samuel and his associate Mr Glenn. He heard yesterday that the lady at 'Sho R' [Charlotte Wesley?] has made Mrs Ince write four letters to different persons abusing Charles and his maternal relations, and one to Mr Graham who is at present in Geneva, Switzerland the birthplace of the Revd. John Fletcher, who was godfather to Sally Wesley.

Charles finds comfort in the Bible.

He has a bad cold, and is therefore staying in the house today.

The widow and daughter of the recently deceased Bishop [John Fisher?] of Salisbury called on Charles the other day.
