Scope and Content

From Charles Wesley junior in Woodstock Street, London, to Sally Wesley [at Mrs Keysall's house]. He supposes that the bad weather prevented her from calling yesterday. Their mother was touched by Mrs Sheysall's kind attentions. Hopefully the arrival of spring will restore her [Sarah Wesley?] to good health again.

They entertained a large party here yesterday, including Mr Boun(?) of Bath, Miss Harrington, and Mrs Slater (who will call on Sally at Mrs Keysall's house).

Charles called in the morning on charming Mrs Shand and Mrs Chambers the latter is very ill indeed. Dr Clark attends her and Charles thinks 'keeps her very low on barley water only'. Mr Barrel from Richmond, Surrey, has called.

Charles had intended calling on Sally today as arranged, but he is having problems with his bowels.

He hopes to be able to call on Mrs Roberts tomorrow at twelve.
