Scope and Content

From Sarah Wesley in Marylebone, London, to Mr Tooth the Timber merchant of City Road. As she is sure that Tooth has checked the printed books and passed them to [George] Whitfield at the Methodist Book room, she would be grateful if Tooth would ask Whitfield to send her the remittance of £18 in accordance with John Wesley's instructions.

Her health requires a change of air and she intends using the money to pay for herself and Sally Wesley to leave London for a while.

In a postscript she adds that Whitfield's inventory of the books does not contain all the volumes that she remembers sending the books from Bristol and the 'scripture hymns' from Mr Byrd are certainly not mentioned in the catalogue.
