Letter from John Howard Nodal to James Rigby

Scope and Content

This manuscript letter appears to be only the end part of a larger letter.

In this manuscript letter John Howard Nodal relays to James Rigby that the Whitlane Weaving Company has suspended its operations. He explains that they are in financial difficulties and that even if they sold all their machinery at its original cost, they would still be in need of hundreds of pounds. He hopes to have more details for the Co-operative League in a week or two.

He then clarifies his request in his previous letter explaining that he merely requires some printed statements on the object of the League like those originally sent around prior to its formation.
