Letter from John Howard Nodal to James Rigby

Scope and Content

In this manuscript letter John Howard Nodal informs James Rigby that he has not received any copies of the Transactions which Rigby, in his letters, claims to have sent him.

He continues to tell Rigby that nothing of importance has happened in Manchester of late. However, he recommends that note be made of the labour markets in various districts to be added in the appendix (presumably of the Transactions) and that he will write reports on them for Rigby.

He wishes to increase his subscription to a pound. He is hopeful that the Transactions are educating and convincing members and non-members alike of the cause of the Co-operative League due to its healthy vigour and energy.
