Edward Vansittart Neale (1810-1892) was an English Barrister, Co-operator and Christian Socialist. He was involved in several co-operative enterprises which, amongst others, included the Central Co-operative Agency, a wholesale depot that was a forerunner of the Co operative Wholesale Society; the Co-operative League, which was composed largely of followers of Robert Owen; and he was also the founder of the first co-operative store in London.
