Written from Liverpool. Thinks she will have recovered enough to speak at their woman's meeting. Came home from Chatham with a high fever and went straight to bed. 'George felt disgusted and discouraged for a time'. She is now mending.

Notes: Undated but refers to the return from Chatham on 19th and following illness as does her husband's letter dated 22 Oct 1875 to Mr Wilson.

Sunday [24 Oct 1875]. Date: Refers to return from Chatham, where she had been for the annual meeting of the Ladies' National Association on 18 Oct, in a state of high fever. She was now mending so probable date of letter Sunday 24 Oct.
