Written from Castle Lodge, Kendal. Thinks Henry Wilson has overestimated his objection to women's work; he is all for women's work among their own sex but not to their addressing and being present at mixed meetings. This might especially apply in small towns. Hopes to be at Sheffield for the League meeting on 16 Nov.
Notes: 'I entirely go for their organisation and work among their own sex - it was simply as to ladies addressing and being present at mixed meetings.' IW Wilson had already expressed these views in a letter of 22 Oct 1875 to Henry Wilson.
