The author writes that he fears his last letters miscarried in the Earl of Tyrconnell's stop of letters. He writes concerning the state of Ireland and of defending themselves and servants against an Irish army of over 40,000, and describes the desolation of the attacks on Protestants. He mentions Lord Kingston in Sligo, two princes of Connaught and Ulster and Lord Tyrconnell; he asks his recipient to remember the doomed situation of the Protestants in Ireland. Written from Antrim. Signed 'Massereene'.
