Case file for a fatal accident that occurred at Abernant Colliery on 24 Jan 1978. Includes: manuscript and typescript notes of evidence taken at an inquest held on 24 Aug 1978 at Pontardawe Magistrates Court; a fatal accident report compiled by the National Coal Board, Mining Department, Safety Branch; a plan of the accident site; two editions of transport rules issued by the National Coal Board for Abernant Colliery; correspondence concerning the inquest.
