Scope and Content

LETTER: [?] Chairman, Assoc. of Lieutenants, of Counties, Burghley House, Stamford to [R. H. Williams-Bulkeley] Lord Lieutenant, expressing concern at the setting up of Pioneer Battalions, a policy which is at variance with the Prime Minister's previous promise regarding agricultural labour. The writer will inform him when he hears from the War Office on this matter, but it may be necessary to call an urgent meeting of the Association.
