Letter: Controller of Salvage, Minister of Supply, Savoy Hill House, Savoy Hill, London to Comm. Sir R. H. Williams-Bulkeley

Scope and Content

LETTER: Controller of Salvage, Minister of Supply, Savoy Hill House, Savoy Hill, London to Comm. Sir R. H. Williams-Bulkeley thanking him on behalf of Mr Burgin for his letter of the previous day. The writer acknowledges the difficulty in collecting salvage in country areas, but hopes local councils combined with voluntary organisations will be able to deal with it. Alternatively local depots for non-perishable material could be provided. Re. scrap iron, the Iron and Steel Dept., plan to 'scour' each co., and will eventually reach North Wales.
