Administrative / Biographical History

John Thomas (1845-1889) of Bank House, Flint, Flintshire, was a businessman. He was born in Holywell, Flintshire, moving to Flint when aged 20. He had various business interests including a butchers and provision shop in Flint, a drapery and grocery in Bagillt, Flintshire, and a farm. He was a deacon at Caersalem Calvinistic Methodist Chapel, Flint, and a member of Flint town council. His wife was a member of the North Wales Women's Temperance Union. He died on 28 June 1889.
