Gives a description of Spring in the garden with the blossom, butterflies and birds, and also the local characters: Werner and ex P.O.W, Mr Nobbs a retired postman. Owing to carelessness of farmers there have been dreadful fires again; the peat is still alight quite lose and will stay alight for months. Has had no luck with her paper, the Yorkshire Naturalist refused it. Has just seen the most perfect fully mature cock Montague Harrier go by close to the window. With envelope
