Scope and Content

Pallis writing from [Long Gores?] Hickling. Says that Miss Hilton was most kind to Melita and gave her many addresses and they are now waiting for some results. She encloses two letters about taking preventive measures to stop these fires (see letter of 21 May 1956). Asks about a statue of Mrs Pankhurst which she thought stood in Parliament Square and had apparently disappeared the last time she passed that way . 'It is Phil's anniversary on 6 Jul, her memorial service was to be in the Cypriot Church'
