LETTER: D. Van Vlymen, 309 Neasden Lane, Neasden Circle, London, NW10 to Mr. K.H. Hughes, Shipbuilders, Amlwch Port thanking him for the drawings which he has now had time to examine in detail. Firstly, the side accommodation ladder does not suit his requirements. The Simpson Lawrence type no 2801 is really exactly what is required, and he will not mind if Mr. Hughes orders it as advertised in varnished teak and include it as an extra. Secondly re. the dinghy hoist, he is dead against this type of hoist, although it has one or two advantages. He does want davits and if it is not possible to have them on the stern, a pair that can be slipped into sockets on either port or starboard of the aft deck is the next best thing. Thirdly re basin in the Stateroom - he is not too keen on the folding type for a Stateroom. The alternative would be as per Aquabelle.
