COPY LETTER: Kenneth H. Hughes to a St. J. Moray-Seaforth, esq., Fruid's Park, Annan, Dumfrieshire thanking him for his letter of yesterday and the copy of Mr. Haydock's letter following his visit to the shipyard last Saturday. In view of the contents of the letter, and a meeting he had yesterday with a gentleman financially interested in the shipyard, he does not see the point in them endeavouring to obtain any further finance for this project and their position at present makes it necessary for them to obtain funds by Thursday morning or go into bankruptcy. They have been experiencing great difficulty in meeting their payroll obligations, and they have come to a final halt, not even possessing the necessary capital to pay wages as they stand now. In vew of this he asks Mr. Moray-Seaforth if he will terminate his efforts on their behalf and send them by return a cheque for balance due to himself (Hughes) from the £150 which was paid to Moray-Seaforth last month after he (Hughes) returned from Annan. He trusts that the matter will be given utmost urgency.
