Note marked 'Private' on the subject of 'dear' John Dillon (the Irish Rebel). He was sent to Kilmainham Jail in May 1881, released later on grounds of health but in Oct 1881 again imprisoned. In May 1882 released with Parnell and others. In 1887 he served five months imprisonment. 'Harrington and the other Irish MP's wish it not to be known and repeated that Dillon is better lest the public sympathy would grow less. He was very ill, but has been well cared for and is now much better'
