Administrative / Biographical History
'I am to be permitted to speak in a guarded manner on the general bearings of our question, and am very anxious to have some repeal friends present at that section.' This was obviously a Conference on religious subjects convened by one or several Nonconformist bodies. Mrs Lundie's husband was a Presbyterian minister working in Liverpool. A careful presentation of the subject was always needed when addressing an audience largely ignorant of CD Acts, traffic in girls, etc. Biog: Mrs Lundie; Mrs HJ Wilson.
