Miscellaneous Letters I

Scope and Content

Long letter to Dr Attwell detailing his recent illness and comparing it to that of Dr Attwell, who has also suffered similar seizures. He describes 'forms of delirium, luckily more grotesque than sad for my watchers, and to me most fruitful in strange knowledge of the relation between mind and body.' He goes on to state that these fits leave him 'unharmed...; but much weakened.'

Dated at Herne Hill [Surrey].
