Scope and Content

Correspondence with English poet Val Warner, most of which relates to the preparation of three volumes published by Carcanet during this period. For correspondence relating to her pamphlet These yellow photos (1971) see /1, /4-/5, /15-16, /19-20, /22 and /34-35; letters relating to her poetry collection Under the penthouse (1973) (which document the compilation of the volume, the contents of which were selected from a large number submitted to Schmidt on a piecemeal basis) are at /7-8, /11-13, /17, /23, /25-27, /29-30, /32-33, /39-40, /42 and /51. /52 is a typescript blurb for the book marked up for printing. Finally, correspondence relating to the evolution and publication of The centenary Corbière: poems and prose of Tristan Corbière, translated and introduced by Warner (1974) (including a reference to Douglas Dunn's thoughts on her translations) is at (/3, /7-10, /17, 19, /21-23, /25, /28-31, /33, /36 and /42).
