Promoted by Prof. Stuart signed by a few representative men. They urged that in view of 'the deep and strong conviction which exists on this subject throughout the country' that the CD Acts ought to be immediately and entirely repealed; and asked him to use his influence as Prime Minister to secure their removal from the Statute Book.
