This series contains typescript selections of journal entries by C.R. Ashbee and Janet Ashbee, and letters, extracted from the journals by C.R. Ashbee (1935-8), with the intention of illustrating the work of the Guild of Handicrafts, the idea of the American League to Enforce Peace, the Jew-Arab question and the reaction of America to the problems of Europe; with introductions added by C.R. Ashbee in 1938 and an epilogue in 1940. Also contains a complete list, with biographical notes, on the fifty Masters of the Guild (1884-1934). 1884-1938.
