They have made London their headquarters now; they have registered with the police, having been in the country for two months; in the preceding five days they covered 258 miles, saw 19 'places' and two cathedrals; he is behind with his diary and has letters to write as well as many places in London to visit; he feels confident riding his bike in heavy traffic in London and they are used to riding on the left now; he is glad they have not sent him money as Bro Wood sent him enough; the cost of living in London is cheaper than anywhere else they have been; they met a man in Guildford who found them a place to stay in London two miles from the centre; they have a large room and decent beds and breakfast for 2s 6d a day; they have been eating out and have bought cooking equipment at Woolworths; he wants to buy some woollen socks and other items; he has received their letters; the weather has not been as wet as they expected; he is sorry about Ellard Wright's accidental death; he spent three hours today at the National Gallery
