Khan, the Indian CO of the 1st Bihar Regiment, Lushai Brigade, to Auchinleck, welcoming the news that a special war pay is to be granted to Indian commissioned officers to equate their basic pay with that of British officers in the Indian Army; and attributing the achievement of this equality to the efforts of Auchinleck who has always championed the rights of Indian officers and cared for their welfare.
