Scope and Content

Papers relating to railways and canals kept on file by the National Coal Board. Includes copies of various acts, proceedings of the Railway Rates Tribunal and papers concerning the interests of individual railway companies. Also includes a volume detailing shipment of Blaengwawr Steam Coal by canal and rail, 1851-1859.

Acquisition Information

Deposited by the National Coal Board between 1957 and 1978 and by the British Coal Corporation in 1991.
