Biographical Notes

Bundles of biographical notes produced by Alexander Gordon during the composition of entries for the Dictionary of National Biography.

Some of the bundles contain correspondence relating to the individual concerned, along with British Museum Reading Room request slips and other related items.

The first 661 bundles of notes have been arranged in alphabetical order by entry, which would appear to be the order in which they were stored in the College library. Other items have been appended rather than incorporated into this list, as some contain notes on multiple entries.
