Clara Grundy was the fourth daughter of Rev. John Grundy. She was an active Unitarian in her father's congregation in Liverpool where she was involved in the supervision of one of the town's Nursing Districts. Later in life, in Bournemouth, she was a member of the General Committee of the local church and belonged to the 'Ladies Society'. She died on 4 January 1885 aged 71.
