Letter from John Fitchett to George Harry Grey (1765-1845), Lord Grey, later 6th Earl of Stamford. Outlines the decree of the Vice Chancellor in the case in Chancery concerning the regulations of Warrington Free Grammar School. The right of Lord and Lady Lilford as patrons to appoint the master is recognised. The situations of rector of Warrington and schoolmaster are declared to be incompatible. A plan for the future management of the school is to be introduced. The trustees are held to be unimpeachable.
