Lanchester thinks his neuritis is linked to rheumatism, of which he suffers from regularly. Mention some tests he has carried out on his fingers using drawings to indicate the issues (see LAN/2/24/34-35). One side effect of his problems is that his hands have been unsteady since an operation about eight years ago, but since his problems with his right hand it has been steady.
