Letter

Scope and Content

From Mary Davies [in Worcester?]. She was very grateful for Tooth's letter and the enclosed pamphlet, which she perused with much profit, as she trusts, did the several young people who she subsequently lent it to. Also, she often reads through Tooth's kind letters.

Their 'temporal concerns' have not been altogether comfortable since the Davies family arrived here. Her father has been very short of work but she has always trusted in God. Spiritual matters are discussed.

Her regards should be passed to [Mary] Fletcher. Davies was happy to discover that she [Fletcher] feels strong enough to continue the meetings.

Davies's parents send their regards to Tooth, her sister [Rosamund] and to Fletcher. Miss Knapp likewise sends her best wishes. Mrs Knapp is now dead - Davies sat up with her for many nights.
