Photographs of Imogen Holst on her own as well as with family, friends and colleagues; photographs of events throughout Imogen Holst's life; photographs of Gustav Holst and other members of the Holst family; photographs of Dartington Hall buildings and people; photographs by John Gay and John Agate; further miscellaneous photographs.

Including photographs of Imogen Holst at Aldeburgh, taken by Nigel Luckhurst and shown at the 1984 Aldeburgh Festival.

Many of the photos were already arranged into envelopes with annotations and labels by Imogen Holst. Where possible, this arrangement ha been maintained. Where the annotated envelopes give further information, the have been retained.

Imogen Holst gave some original photographs to the Holst Birthplace Museum in Cheltenham. A list of photographs held at Cheltenham, as well as copies of some of them, are held in this collection.
