Two spiral-bound notebooks, originally held together by a rubber band, containing partial manuscript drafts of 'Blewcoat Boy' by Leon Garfield (Gollancz, 1988) [republished under the title 'The Stolen Watch' (Gollancz, 1995)]. The contents of both notebooks are extremely fragmented, and it is not possible to trace a single, complete draft of the story through either notebook.
The first notebook is labelled, in Vivien Alcock's hand, 'Nick and Jubilee (Blewcoat Boy or Gold Watch)', and, as the second notebook is not labelled, this title has been taken for both notebooks.
