Consists of a letter from Thomas Baker Brown to his father from France. He describes seeing his brother George, and comments on how the army are beginning to replace fit men behind the lines with the 'Women's Auxiliary Corps' and the 'unfit'. He also describes having to sleep in a cart with another soldier 'with one blanket for the two of us'.
