The Grand Dukeproduction materials, 1896-1978

File includes a typescript copy of John Wolfson's book Gilbert & Sullivan's Final Opera / The Grand Duke / Its Sources, Production and Reception (1976), a book review for the same, a review of a production of Wolfson's new version (the libretti for which may be found at THM/73/15/19/11) and a thank you letter to Wolfson, 1978.

Also included are a number of glass negatives of The Sunday Times press cuttings for the 1896 production.

Access to the glass negatives is restricted for conservation reasons. Copies of the images in question are included in the open access folder.
