Sketches of characters, settings, and characters in settings in graphite and watercolour on 15 sheets of paper. Inscribed in graphite and ink with ms notes on colours and details, including the character's name, Ishtar, and the name of the scene, 'Babylon Slave Market'. The two watercolours on cartridge paper appear to be Hockley's 'finished' sketches, one of which is mounted on paper inscribed in ink with ms notes on colours and details. Both have pinholes in the corners indicating that they had been pinned up.
