3. Legal action v. ‘Daily Mirror’; 1940-1941. In June 1940 Keyes issued a libel writ against the ‘Daily Mirror’ following a leading article which criticised King Leopold of Belgium and Keyes’s role in the Belgian crisis. The case was settled out of court. Contains a typescript of the leading article, solicitors’ correspondence, and a statement to be read in court on Keyes’s behalf.
